A funeral was held Saturday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Arthur A. Mendosa, 91, of Ceres. He died Monday, March 28, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Born Aug. 22, 1913, Mr. Mendosa was a native of Ceres and lived in Stanislaus County for 91 years. He was a business owner, dairyman and farmer. Mr. Mendosa graduated from Ceres High School. He was a trustee of Milnes School, and was a member of the Keyes Fire Board. He enjoyed trout fishing, hunting, horses and burros.
He leaves behind his wife, Wanda O. Mendosa of Ceres; two children, Jerry A. Mendosa of Chino and Marlene K. Weeks of Milton; his brother, Ernest Mendosa of Ceres; three sisters, Alveta Ender of Tracy, Gertrude Schlitz of Big Fork, Mont., and Eva Serpa of Gustine; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
