A graveside service was held Monday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Barbara Ann Crowder, 70, of Ceres. She died Wednesday Dec. 3, 2008 at home with family and friends by her bedside.
Salas Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
After the service mourners attended a Celebration of Life at the Assembly of God Church in Hughson.
Born June 25, 1938, Barbara lived in Stanislaus County her entire life. She began working at Campbell Soup after high school. She later retired from CVC/General Foods Corp. Mrs. Crowder also spent extra time working on the Berryhill and Crowder family farms in Ceres and Turlock. Barbara enjoyed shopping, traveling and spending time with her family.
She leaves behind her spouse of nearly 50 years, Gary M. Crowder of Ceres; two sons, Rocky Crowder of Ceres, and Thomas Crowder of Hughson; and two grandsons, Thomas Crowder Jr. and Keaton Crowder, both of Hughson.
Remembrances may be sent in Barbara's honor to the Community Hospice at 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356.
