A funeral service was held Friday at Cunningham's Affordable Burial & Cremation Center in Modesto for Barbara Denise "Dee" Busby Adams, 50, of Delhi. She died Saturday, June 26, 2004 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
Born Feb. 4, 1954, Mrs. Adams was a native of Modesto and lived in Delhi for three years and previously lived in Modesto for 47 years. She was a truck driver and a member of the First Baptist Church in Ceres. Mrs. Adams graduated from Downey High School in 1972. She enjoyed collecting sea shells, polished river stones and dolphin figurines.
She is survived by two children, Samantha Curtis of Delhi and Jeremy Adams of Modesto; her parents, Darlene and Lester Smith of Modesto; two brothers, Floyd "Guy" Puryear of Turlock and Darrell Smith of Conyers, Ga.; and her sister, Darlene "Lenie" Coop of Rio Dell.
