A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home in Atwater for Beatrice Reese, 78, of Hughson. She died Friday, July 22, 2005 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House at Samaritan Village.
Born Oct. 10, 1926, Mrs. Reese was a native of Edinburgh, Scotland, and had lived in Hughson a few days and had previously lived in Atwater since 1953. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her dog, Samantha, and playing cards.
She leaves behind her son, Charles Reese of Ceres; two brothers, Patrick Girdlestone of Oregon and Jim Girdlestone of Palm Desert; and her sister, Cynthia Hausenfleck of Courtland.
