Betty L. Smith, a 90-year resident of Ceres, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 in Ceres.
Betty is survived by her children, Jack Edler of Gold Hills, Ore., Richard Smith of Ceres, Lynette Herberandson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dovie Smith of Modesto; 10 grandchildren and 28 great- and great-great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by husbands Clell Edler and Richard Smith, by brother Bill Castleman and sisters Beatrice Shamlin, Helen Spensley and Inez Roberts.
Betty and her husband, Richard Smith loved to travel during their retirement years. They traveled to many different countries, and also enjoyed square dancing. Betty loved to work in her yard tending to her flowers and fruit trees. She will be missed by her family.
Services have been entrusted to Franklin and Downs Funeral Home.
