Budman K. Davis

Feb. 4, 1913 - Jan. 1, 2016

Budman K. Davis (Buddy), 102, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2016 in St. Maries.

He was born February 4, 1913 in Philips, Okla., to Budman K. and Angel Davis, the second of five children.

He moved to Riverside during the late 1930s where he met his future wife, T. Pauline Smith. They were married in Riverside on Dec. 11, 1937 and moved to Ceres. They were married 65 years until Pauline died in 2002. Two sons were born, Joe H. Davis in 1938 and Paul A. Davis 1940 respectively.

Buddy was a home builder/carpenter working for his brother-in-law William Smith, general contractors, during the late 1940s through the early 1970s. He also was owner/builder for his own residences (five) working after hours and his regular job, evenings and Saturdays, to complete his own home. His fifth residence was a large home completed in Ceres without a mortgage.

He loved camping, hunting and fishing in the Sierra Nevada mountains with his immediate and extended family while living in California for 71 years.
