A graveside service was held Friday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Carol May Silva Witt Waddell Tillotson, 84 of Riverbank. She died Sept. 30, 2008 at Legacy at Stratford in Modesto.
Oakdale Mortuary was is in charge of services.
Born in Hughson on Sept. 19, 1924, Carol was active in the community as a member of the Riverbank United Methodist Church, Riverbank Fire Auxiliary, Riverbank Historical Society, Royal Neighbors of America, and the Modesto Horseless Carriage Club. She enjoyed quilting, painting and cruising in classic cars.
She leaves behind her husband, Jim Tillotson of Riverbank; five children, Joan Witt of Fairbanks, Alaska, Sylvia Blan of Los Lunas, N.M., Phyllis Reeves of Riverbank, Lela Holland of Brooks, and Phillip Waddell of Friant; her sister, Arlene Mattos of Modesto; two brothers, Leo Silva of Riverbank and Bill Silva of Modesto; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Bill Witt and Phillip F. Waddell.
