There are no services for Catherine Jeanette Kundes Clarke, 81, of Ceres. She died Sunday, June 5, 2005 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.

Born Jan. 11, 1924, Mrs. Clarke was a native of Fort Smith, Ark., and had lived in Ceres since 1965. She was a salesperson at J.C. Penney for 15 years. Mrs. Clarke was a member of Grace Community Church and the Ladies of Grace Bible study group. She enjoyed collecting bells and knickknacks, cooking and sewing.
Mrs. Clarke leaves behind three children, Sheila Weis and Jimmie Sifford, both of Ceres, and Cathy Beals of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her stepdaughter, Jane Hernandez of Modesto; her brother, Robert Kundas of Shreveport, La.; her sister, JoAnn Jennings of Texarkana, Texas; and nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Sifford, and second husband, Hubert Clarke; stepson, Andrew Clarke; and three brothers.
