Services were held Monday at the Hughson Assembly of God for Cheryl Marie Summerlot, 37, of Hughson. She died Oct. 15, 2007 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock after a lengthy illness.
A graveside service follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Allen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Born Dec. 30, 1969, Mrs. Summerlot was a native of Hayward, and lived in Hughson most of her life. She attended Hughson schools, graduating in 1988. She was the manager of The Video Place in Hughson for many years. Mrs. Summerlot also worked at Interim Health Care and also, was a notary. She loved animals and rescued many stray animals and found home or kept them herself.
She leaves behind her husband of nearly 20 years, Mark Summerlot of Hughson; her son Devin Summerlot of Hughson; her parents, Susan Brown of Hughson; her brother, Wayne Brown of Copperopolis. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Brown; and her grandparents, Truman and Esther Brown.
