A memorial service was held at Grace Community Christian Church in Ceres on Saturday for Chuck Mathis Sr., 74, of Ceres. He died Feb. 18, 2008.

Mr. Mathis was born July 27, 1933

He leaves behind his wife, Susan Mathis; five sons and two daughters.
