A memorial service was held on Friday at Hughson Free Will Baptist Church for Cindy Lee "Little Angel" Shell, 48, of Hughson. She died April 20, 2009 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock with family and friends at her side.

A graveside service followed at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Born Aug. 24, 1960, Cindy was one of the first students to attend Turlock Continuum College for disabled adults. She was also a member of the Special Olympics where she won many awards for track and field and bowling. Cindy was also a member of the Hughson Free Will Baptist Church where she attended all her entire life. No one was a stranger to her. Cindy enjoyed painting, sewing, attending church, spending time with her family, dancing and eating ice cream.

She leaves behind her sisters, Christie Shell of Hughson, and Heather Stewart of Turlock; her step-sisters, Tracy Castillo of Lodi, and Kimberly Rivera of Elk Grove; and her brother, Robert Shell of Oregon. She was preceded in death by step-father William Mills, mother Helen Mills, and father Jack Shell.
