A service was held Saturday at First Baptist Church in Modesto for Cynthia "Cindy" Allyn Potter Enzminger, 48, of Modesto. The former Hughson resident died May 4, 2008 after a six-year battle with ovarian cancer. Her passing came surrounded by family and friends at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.

Born May 1, 1960, Cynthia was a native of Gilroy, born to Virginia Bailey and Allen Potter. She was the youngest of five children. Mrs. Enzminger graduated from Hughson High in 1978. Cindy worked as a secretary in the medical field before earning her medical assistant's degree. Cindy was a vibrant person who loved spending time with her friends and helping others.

She leaves behind her children, Michael Potter of Denair, Jennifer Enzminger and Stephanie Enzminger, both of Modesto; her brother, Jim Dickinson of Modesto; and her sisters, Karen Thompson of Modesto and Pam Potter of Reno.
