Dixie Dean Caulkins

A memorial service was held Tuesday at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Ceres, for Dixie Dean Caulkins, 84, of Ceres. She died Sept. 23, 2010.

Born June 17, 1926, Dixie graduated from Ceres High School in 1945. Mrs. Caulkins was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Ceres.

She leaves behind two daughters, Zoa Langford of Modesto and Sue Eastman of Turlock; her stepson, David Caulkins of Oakridge, Ore.; her half-brother, Raymond Gray of Modesto; two half-sisters, Alice Hatch of Reno, Nev., and Mary Bechthold of Lathrop; and seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by husband Ivan T. Caulkins.
