Services were held on Wednesday at Lakewood Heritage Chapel, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, for Donna Jean Lane Reynders, 86, of Ceres. She died Oct. 17, 2018.

Donna was born in Big Piney, Mo., to Clell and Della Lane. At age 7 she and her family moved Ceres. She attended Ceres schools, graduating from Ceres High School in 1950. While in high school she met the love of her life, Phil Reynders who had moved here from Southern California. They were married on March 7, 1953 after Phil’s return from Korea. They made Ceres their home and were married 65 years.

Donna was a bookkeeper for the former Bank of Ceres for16 years and then starting in 1973 served as an instructional aide for deaf students in the Ceres Unified School for 16 years. Donna and Phil enjoyed traveling and were among the founding members of Ceres Historical Society. Donna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ceres where she had attended since childhood. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She leaves behind her husband, Philip John Reynders; her daughter, Sheryl Reynders Trout (Stephen) of Ceres; and two granddaughters, Tiffany Giles (Stephen) and Danelle Trout, all of Ceres. She was preceded in death by parents Clell and Della McClure Lane and brother Elvis Lane.
