A graveside service was held held Friday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Dorothy Jane Allen, 80, of Ceres. She died Sept. 25, 2007.
Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Born Feb. 27, 1927, Mrs. Allen was a native of Seminole, Okla., and been a resident of Ceres since 1964. She previously resided in Riverbank. Mrs. Allen enjoyed cooking and she enjoyed her cat, "Mr. C.:
She leaves behind her husband, James W. Allen of Ceres; four daughters, Pam Howard and Coni Saracino, both of San Rafael, Carol Smith of Ocean Park, Wash., and Lois Vamush of Modesto; three sisters, Helen Williams, Marc Hildreth and Judy Glasco; and four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
