A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. today at All Saints Catholic Church, corner of Christopherson and McKenna, Turlock, for Dorothy Florence Boggeri, 94, of Hughson. She died Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson, with her family by her side

Allen Mortuary is in charge of burial at Lakewood Memorial Park after the Mass.

Born Dec. 24, 1916 to Frank and Rhoda Ferriera at home in Hughson, Dorothy lived in the Hughson area her entire life. She attended Hughson High School and even settling into her home town to raise her own family. After graduating high school in 1935, she was married in 1938 to Charles Boggeri and they ran a family farm and raised children starting in 1942. In her later years she was a member of the 20th Century Club, St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hughson throughout her life and had spent her last remaining years as a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Turlock. Last year she was the parade Grand Marshall during the Hughson High School Centennial Celebration, as the eldest living graduating student.

She leaves behind her children, Robert Boggeri of Hughson, and Christine Noeller of Hughson; two sisters, Mabel Voorhees of Hughson, and Esthermae Soper of Modesto; and five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband of 60 years Charles Boggeri (1998), two sisters and four brothers.
