A graveside service was held Monday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Dorothy I. Riggs Rhodes, 84, of Oakdale. The Ceres native died Thursday, June 24, 2004 at her home.
The Colonial Chapel of Franklin and Downs was in charge of arrangements.
Born Dec. 18, 1919, Mrs. Rhodes was a native of Ceres and lived in Oakdale for 48 years. She retired from Gallo Glass, where she worked for 28 years. Mrs. Rhodes enjoyed painting and writing songs.
She leaves behind seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Rhodes; daughter, Loretta Pound; and sons, Donald Rhodes and Ronald Rhodes.
