A graveside service was held Saturday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Dorothy Jean Casey, 80, of Hughson. She died recently.

Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Born April 20, 1928 in Modesto to Owen and Stella Graham, Dorothy was very involved volunteering at several thrift shops including the former Emanuel Hospital Thrift shop for 30 years, Hughson's Clothes Closet and Turlock's Off Center Thrift. Mrs. Casey was also active as a member of Hughson's Red Hat Society.

She leaves behind her two children, Jerry Casey of Puyallup, Wash., and Cheryl Souza of Modesto; her brother, Gary Rose of Santa Fe, Texas; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years William "Bill" Casey.
