Edna M. Wilson-Genn
Services were held Saturday at the Ceres Seventh-day Adventist Church for Edna Madine "Sally" Wilson-Genn, 86, of Ceres. She died March 15, 2009 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.

Salas Brothers Chapel was in charge of arrangements, including a graveside service at Ceres Memorial Park.

Mrs. Genn was born Dec. 10, 1922 in Ada, Okla., to Selma and Homer Wilmoth. She was raised in Oklahoma and graduated in 1940 from Gentry High School. She married Ralph DeWitt Wilson on June 5, 1941 in Sayer, Okla., and bore four children. Sally moved to the Bay Area and then to Southern California before settling in Central California in 1963. In 1971 she lost her husband but remarried in 1975 in Ceres to Roy Fred Genn. Mrs. Wilson-Genn enjoyed gardening, attending church and spending time with her grandchildren.

She leaves behind her children, R. Dean Wilson, Evan Leon Wilson and Ralph Michael Wilson, all of Turlock, and Karen Lynn Nichols of Texarkana, Ark.; her stepdaughter, Charlene Marie Coughran of Turlock; her brother, Roy Wilmoth; and 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Wilson, and stepsons Gary Fred Genn and Robert Doyle Genn.
