A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel for Ella Rose Zamaroni, 97, of Ceres. She died Oct. 30, 2008 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.

Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel is in charge of private interment at Acacia Memorial Park in Modesto.

Born July 4, 1911 in Fallon, Mrs. Zamaroni spent most of her life in Ceres. She was a graduate of Modesto Business College. Mrs. Zamaroni was active in the Parent Teacher Association, and was an honorary member of the Stanislaus County Swiss Club. She also belonged to the Ceres Senior Citizen Club. "Nana" enjoyed playing Bingo and Paiute. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind three children, Jeanne Lytle, Toni Gardali-Morgan and Vincent Zamaroni; two brothers Henry Morganti and Marvin Morganti; her sister, Alyce Wharton; six grandchildren Kim Webster, Sheri Ella Hurst, Ben Zamaroni, Steven Zamaroni, Jill Zamaroni-Bettencourt and Tom Gardali; four step-grandchildren, Shawna Genn, Sherri Suarez, Shelly Hopper and Chuck Shepherd; and eight great-grandchildren Megan Webster, Wade Hurst, Holly Hurst, Brandon Reed, Jade Zamaroni-Soiseth, Tim King, Zachary Zamaroni and Madison Rose Zamaroni. She was preceded in death by husband Ben Zamaroni, brothers Mario Morganti and Elmo Morganti, and sisters Irene Hanson and Florence Del Angelo.
