A graveside service was held Friday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Elma Louise Lane Beasley, 74, of Ceres. She died Monday, June 28, 2004 at Elness Convalescent Hospital in Turlock.
Eaton Family Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Born April 4, 1930, Mrs. Beasley was a native of Modesto and had lived in the Modesto and Ceres area for 74 years. She was an operator with AT&T for 42 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Mrs. Beasley enjoyed sewing and fishing.
She leaves behind two children, Keith Beasley of Hughson and Karen Stewart of Ceres; her sister, Norma Davis of Greeley Hill; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Beasley.
