Services were held Friday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto for Elma Leota Helm , 83, of Ceres. She died Sept. 11, 2007 at English Oaks Convalescent Hospital in Modesto.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born April 11, 1924, Mrs. Helm was a nayive of Big Pine, Mo., and came to Ceres in 1942. She lived in the same house for 46 years. Mrs. Helm was a member of First Baptist Church.
She leaves behind two children, James Helm of Coalinga and Brenda Mages of Castro Valley; her brother, Robert B. Sneed of Modesto; and her sister, Geraldine Farris of Modesto. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carl Helm.
