Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson for Elsie Foiada, 91, of Patterson. She died Dec. 5, 2008 at her home.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. Interment to follow at Patterson District Cemetery under the direction Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson.
Born Feb. 4, 1917, Mrs. Foiada was a native of Ceres, and resident of Patterson for 62 years. She previously lived in Ceres and Modesto and was a homemaker for 71 years. Mrs. Foiada was an parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson and was a member of the Swiss Club of Stanislaus County, YLI of Patterson, Red Hatters, CWA (California Women in Agriculture) and Patterson Garden Club. She was a 4-H Leader and enjoyed spending time at the Patterson Senior Center.
She leaves behind her son, Steve Foiada of Jamestown; her brother, Fred Yori of Ceres; her sister, Helen De Ve of Modesto; two grandchildren and two great-grand- children. She was preceded in death by husband Constantino "Connie" Foiada in 2002 and daughter Clarice Luther in 2008.
