A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres for Emillo Duran, 78, of Ceres. He died Sept. 23, 2008 in Modesto.
Interment will be at Modesto Cemetery under the direction of Salas Brothers Chapel.
Born May 22, 1930, Mr. Duran was a forklift driver for Tri Valley Growers for 33 years. He was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church. Mr. Duran enjoyed farming and playing cards.
He leaves behind his wife, Margaret Duran of Ceres; his children, David Duran of Ceres and Carol Duran of Modesto; his brother, Luis Duran of Ceres; two sisters, Polly Pobles of Modesto and Antonnett Gavino of Keyes; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
