A celebration of life was held Feb. 25 in Carlsbad, N.M., for Emily Ann Herrington Willier, 39, of Carlsbad, N.M. She died of a 10-month illness on Feb. 16, 2004 in Lubbock, Texas.
Born May 15, 1964, Mrs. Willier was a native of Victorville and grew up in Ceres and Modesto, attending Mark Twain School in Modeso and Mae Hensley Junior High School. She graduated from the Ceres Christian Life Center high school in 1982. Mrs. Willier spent some time in Arizona before moving to Carlsbad in 1999. Mrs. Willier attended Arizona State University West where she received honors in accounting. She was the business and accounting manager of her father's business.
She loved to garden, read and cook for family and friends.
She leaves behind her husband of 14 years, Michael Willier of Carlsbad; two sons, Thomas Willier and Jacob Willier, both of Carlsbad; her father, Edwin Cyr Herrington of Phoenix, Ariz.; her mother, Umeko Nagamine of Anaheim; her sister, Carol Herrington of Truckee; her stepbrother, Hans Nagamine of Anaheim; and her stepsister, Hannah Nagamine of Anaheim.
