Turlock Funeral Home was in charge of private interment for Emma "Erma" Warda Morris, 83, of Turlock. She died Jan. 17, 2011.
A memorial service is planned at a later date.
Born March 31, 1927 in San Francisco to Saul and Zevy Warda, Erma graduated from Hughson High School and San Francisco State University. She taught school for over 50 years, mostly in Turlock. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Assyrian American Club of Turlock, and the California Retired Teachers Association.
She leaves behind daughters Marie A. Bauckman of Virginia Beach, Va., Mona L. Kreiter of Kingsburg,, and Michelle E. Swift of Live Oak; six granddaughters, Sarah Lathan, Alexandra Bauckman, Leigha Bauckman, Hunter Kreiter, Emma Swift and Grace Swift; and three sisters.
