Ernie Faulkner

A funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Ernie Faulkner, 70, of Ceres. He died Jan. 4, 2006 at his home.

Born Nov. 23, 1935, Mr. Faulkner was a native of Little Rock, Ark., and lived in Ceres since 1990. He was a manager for Presidio Hospital in San Francisco, and Oak Knoll Hospital in Oakland. Mr. Faulkner served in the Air Force and had retired from civil service. He was a member of the VFW Post 491 of Ceres. He enjoyed fishing and BMX bike racing.

He leaves behind his wife, Jeanette Faulkner of Ceres; four children, Michael A. Faulkner, Kenneth E. Faulkner and David W. Faulkner, all of Ceres, and Debra Holmes of Maryland; and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Helen Faulkner, and a brother.
