A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Ceres Memorial Park for Eugene Edwin White, 80, of Ceres. He died March 10, 2008 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenice Drive, Modesto.
Born Aug. 17, 1928, Mr. White was a native of Ada, Okla., and came to California with his family in 1946. He served in the Army, Army Air Corps and the Navy from 1946 to 1952. He also served in the Korean War. Mr. White was an electronic repairman at Asbill's and Youngdale's for 35 years.
He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Betty White of Ceres; his children, Phyllis Tschantz and Amy White, both of Ceres, Ron White of Glendale, Ariz., and Charlene White and Eugene White, both of Modesto; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
