A funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 24 at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs Funeral Home, 2561 Fifth Street, Ceres, for Eula Mae Nunes, 83, of Ceres. She died July 16, 2014 after a strong fight with pancreatic cancer.

Interment will follow at Ceres Memorial Park.

Mrs. Nunes was born on July 3, 1931 and was a longtime resident of the Ceres area.

She leaves behind her four children, Deborah Andrews and Rosemary Barton, both of Ceres, Henry C. Nunes Jr. of St. Joseph, Mo., and Patricia Arnold of Modesto; and nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was proceded in death by husband Henry C. Nunes and great-grandson Brandon Padilla.
