Eva Mae Smith

Nov. 23, 1934 - Feb. 9, 2014

Eva Smith, a joyful loving soul, was welcomed into the arms of our Lord Feb. 9, 2014.

Eva was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt and friend to everyone, especially those who were in need or those who were hurting. Eva took delight in her garden, her faith and her church, thrift-store shopping with her daughters and husband, coffee with friends and spending time with her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Charles Smith; and her brother, Bobby R. White of Paris, Texas. In addition she leaves behind two daughters, Debbie Sweis and Sandra Van Der Woude, both of Ceres, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous people who she called family and friend. Eva was preceded in death by her loving son, Richard Smith.

Loved by many, she will be missed by all. She lit up the darkness.

A public service will be held on Friday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. at Ceres Christian Church, 3502 Roeding Road, Ceres.
