A graveside service was held on Friday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Frank Gene Bray Sr., 68, of Ceres. He died April 4, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto surrounded by family and friends.

Born March 14, 1942, Frank was a native of Garfield, Ark., and a resident of Ceres area for 39 years. Frank enlisted in the Navy in September of 1960 and served as a gunner's mate on the USS Bennington. Upon returning home, he worked as a forklift driver and a mechanic in Stanislaus County.

He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Diane Bray of Ceres; two sons, Frank G. Bray, Jr. of Modesto, and James Edward Bray of Hughson; two brothers, Lloyd Bray and Jack Bray, both of Arkansas; a sister, Kathryn Bray of Arkansas; four grandchildren, Krystal Bray of Ceres, Austin Bray of Hughson, and Zackary Bray and Trisha Bray, both of Modesto; and one great-granddaughter, Riley Bray of Ceres. He was preceded in death by parents Roy and Wyona Bray and brother James Edward Bray.
