Gary Ney Sr.

Nov. 14, 1943 – April 16, 2021

We were shocked and saddened by the death of Gary Ney Sr. He was still so full of life, love, and sarcasm; taken too soon.

He and his loving wife, Jeanne, were together for 57 years.

Gary left behind a beautiful family legacy: two children, 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren with an eighth on the way, his last surviving brother, Mike, and his faithful sidekick, Molly.

Gary was raised in Ceres and graduated from Ceres High class of 1961. During his studies, he met the love of his life, Jeanne Fenters. They were married shortly after during her junior year of high school. Most of his working years were spent in carpentry, construction, and tool repair. His favorite pastimes were fishing and camping. He could spend hour and hours in “Bubbas Bass Hole” (his self-titled bass boat).

During his later years you would often find him on social media leaving silly remarks on pictures and posts, or texting back and forth with his grandkids, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Even though missing you will hurt, we are all so lucky to have had you in our lives.

A graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on Friday, May 7 at 11 a.m.
