A Celebration of Life was held at a family residence on Sunday for Ova Geraldine Holsapple, 74, of Ceres. She died Sept. 17, 2007 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Evins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Holsapple was born Dec. 23, 1933 in Texola, Okla., and moved to California when when she was eight years old. She married the love of her life, and they shared 51 years of faith and commitment to each other. They raised and provided for their seven children. Geraldine was a waitress for many years and then worked for ATB Packing Co., where she retired after 24 years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She leaves behind her husband, Frank S. Holsapple of Ceres; her children, Judy Casey of Hilmar, Frank E. Holsapple of Turlock, John Holsapple of Fayettville, Ark., Rodney Holsapple of Turlock, Richard Holsapple of Ceres, William Holsapple of Tracy, and Cindy Parra of Tranquillity; two sisters; her brother; and 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
