Services were held for Geraldine Jeanette France, 60, of Ceres. She died at her home on Dec. 17, 2009 after a short illness.
Allen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Geraldine was born in April 1949. A lifelong California resident, she moved to Stanislaus County within the last few months. Although she never married, Geraldine became a part of the extended family of Ed and Evelyn Hart. A relationship that began 10 years ago as a renter became much closer as she and the Hart family "adopted" each other and she became like a another grandmother to their family. She was a very kind, caring, compassionate person who loved to demonstrate her love to the children. She loved nature and watching nature shows on TV.
