Evins Funeral Home was in charge of private funeral services for Goossenn Van Zwaluwenburg, 74, of Ceres. He died Dec. 29, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Born Sept. 29, 1930, Mr. Zwaluwenburg was a native of the Netherlands and lived in Ceres for three years. He was a machine operator for 20 years at International Paper Co. in Modesto. Mr. Zwaluwenburg was a member of Eastridge Community Church of the Nazarene and the Dixieland Jazz Society. He enjoyed music and dogs.

He leaves behind his wife, Nancy Zwaluwenburg of Ceres; four children, Eilleen Harris of Placentia, Cindy Harris of Turlock, Sherry Ward of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Dale Zwaluwenburg of Modesto; two brothers, Case Zwaluwenburg of Escalon and Jack Zwaluwenburg of Monrovia; sister, Lucille Walhoff of Artesia; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
