A funeral was held Friday at St. Mary's Holy Apostolic Catholic Church of the East in Hughson, for Gorges Ishaq Gorges, 62, of Modesto. He died Sunday, July 25, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Lakewood Funeral Home.
Born July 1, 1942, Mr. Gorges was a native of Tammin, Iraq, and lived in Modesto for eight years. He was a security officer for the Wackenhut Corp. for eight years. Mr. Groges attended St. Mary's Holy Apostolic Catholic Church of the East in Hughson, and enjoyed horses and cooking.
He leaves behind his wife, Jaini Gorges of Modesto; five children, Alexander Gorges of Holland, Allen Gorges and Alena Gorges, both of Jordan, and Angelena Crowe and Argentina Kelly, both of Modesto; his brother, Sargon Hawil of Chicago; and six grandchildren.
