A memorial service was held at Grace Community Church in Ceres on Saturday for Grace Elizabeth Thorn, 86. She died Feb. 21, 2010 surrounded by loved ones.
Born Sept. 13, 1923 in Kansas, Grace moved to California and worked and retired from the Naval Weapons Station in Concord. She was president of NARFE and an active member at Grace Community Church in Ceres.
She leaves behind her brother, Frank; four grandchildren, Twinkle, Steve, Rob and Shelley; and eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
