A Celebration of Life was held Thursday at Grace Community Christian Church for Gregory E. Shepard, 54, of Ceres. He died April 6, 2012 after an extended illness.
Born March 21, 1958, Mr. Shepard had lived in Grand Rapids, Mich. His lifetime ministries ranged from serving the youth to meeting the needs of senior citizens. He had a heart for people and touched many by his courage, strength, and perseverance.
He leaves behind his wife, Ellie Shepard; his daughter, Raychell Shepard; his mother, Alice Shepard; and four sisters, Vickie White, Julie Tanner, Kim Novak, and Pam VanWys. He was preceded in death by his father, Lyall Shepard.
