A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rosebank Cemetery in Mulberry, Kansas, for Helen Clara Ensminger, 76, of Mindenpines, Mo. The former Ceres resident died of a lengthy illness at Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar, Mo., on Saturday, March 13, 2004.

The Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.

Born April 8, 1927 in Ravia, Okla., Mrs. Ensminger lived in Ceres for many years before moving to Mindenpines four years ago. She was a homemaker and enjoyed Bingo games. Mrs. Ensminger was a member of the Mindenpines Church of God.

She leaves behind nine children, LeeRoy Ensminger, Barbara Casteel and Helen Stevens, all of Mindenpines, William F. Ensminger of Modesto, Jackie L. Ensminger of Berry, Vt., and Davis R. Ensminger, all of Ceres, Wanda Cotton and Linda Woods, both of Lebanon, Mo., and Nine Baggs of Baxter Springs, Kan.; her brother, George Jenkens of Los Angeles; her sister, Gladys of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
