A funeral was held Monday at the McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Hortencia Delores Urbina Martinez, 68, of Ceres. She died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Evergreen Rehabilitation Care in Modesto.
Burial was at Patterson District Cemetery.
Born April 11, 1937, Mrs. Martinez was a nativof El Paso, Texas, and lived in Ceres for two years. She previously lived in Modesto for 40 years. Mrs. Martinez was a homemaker and a member of the United Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed reading and watching cowboy movies.
Mrs. Martinez leaves behind eight children, Jose Martinez, Alex Martinez, Arthur Martinez, Alfred Morris, Raymond Morris and Mona Lisa Morris, all of Modesto, Irene Godinez of Patterson and David Martinez of Fremont; three brothers, Wayo Urbina of Turlock, Daniel Urbina of Denair and Chris Urbina of Modesto; her sister, Pauline Melindez of Anthony, N.M.; and 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Morris; and children, Bobby Martinez and Sandra Morris.
