A memorial service was held Sunday at Allen Mortuary in Turlock for Howard K. Vincent, 87, of Hughson. He died recently.

Born August 1923 in Ceres, Howard graduated from high school in Nicolaus and joined the Navy shortly before World War II broke out. After the war he started his dual career of farming and driving trucks for Valchris Turkeys of Turlock. Mr. Vincent was a member of the Grange. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

He leaves behind his wife, Ruby McKee-Vincent of Hughson; his children, Barbara Daily of Oakdale and Jack V. McKee of Riverton, Wyo.; his brother, Duane Vincent of Yuba City; and six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
