Funeral services were held Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Modesto for Ignacio Ramos Ramirez, 53, of Modesto. He died Sept. 22, 2007.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Born April 18, 1954, Mrs. Ramirez was a native of Michoacan, Mexico. He was a resident of Stanislaus County since 1975. Mr. Ramirez was 20 years as a groundskeeper at Duarte Nursery in Hughson. He enjoyed fishing, planting, and camping. Mr. Ramirez was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
He leaves behind his wife, Amanda G. Ramirez of Modesto; his children, Felix G. Tobar, Rey G. Tobar, Benny G. Tobar, Leonard G. Tobar, Ygnacio G. Ramirez Jr., Anthony G. Ramirez, Mary G. Tobar, Suzanna G. Tobar and Crystal G. Ramirez, all of Modesto; five sisters, Blanca Ramirez, Margarita Ramirez, Elsa Ramirez, all of Mexico, Maria de Jesus Ramirez of Modesto and Otila Ramirez of Mexico; his parents, Emiliano Ramirez and Trinida Ramos of Michoacan, Mexico; and 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
