A funeral service was held Friday at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Irene Carol Freitas Beaver, 61, of Ceres. She died Feb. 15, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Born June 24, 1943, Mrs. Beaver was a native of Santa Maria and lived in Ceres for 54 years. She was a homemaker for 27 years. She enjoyed crocheting baby sweaters and caps, blankets and afghans. Mrs. Beaver was a member of Bethel Tabernacle Church in Ceres.
She leaves behind her husband, Robert Beaver of Ceres; and three brothers, Richard Peters of Modesto, Clyde Peters of Crows Landing and Wayne Freitas of Merced.
