Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Allen Mortuary for Jimmy Dale Janz, 64, of Ceres. He died Oct. 15, 2010.
A funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 at Allen Mortuary in Turlock. Private burial will follow at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
Born January 1946 in Anadarco, Okla., to Victor and Dorothy Janz, Jimmy was brought to California. He graduated from Turlock High School and lived in the Turlock/Ceres area for the past 50 years. He had worked for Weyerhaeuser Paper Company for about 25 years. Mr. Janz enjoyed working on his cars.
He leaves behind his wife, Shirley Janz of Ceres; his brothers, Roy Janz, Larry Janz, and Kenny Janz; his sisters, Maggie, Delores, and Joyce; grandchildren Savanah and Jayden. He was preceded in death by parents Victor and Dorothy Janz and sister Judy.
