A memorial Service was held Monday at Allen Mortuary for Eva Clara Josephine "Jo" Jones, 68, of Coulterville. The former Hughson resident died July 29, 2008 in Stevinson.
Private inurnment was at Dudley Cemetary in Greeley Hill.
Born in January 1940, Mrs. Jones was a native of Oklahoma and moved to Empire in 1946. She had lived in Hughson and Turlock before settling in Coulterville in 1990. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Turlock Moose Lodge. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gold panning and crocheting. Mrs. Jones enjoyed spending time with her family and her pets.
She leaves behind her five children, Renee Jones of Atwater, Jimmy Jones of Hughson, Jerry Jones of Coulterville, Johnny Jones of Stevinson, and Justin Jones of Denair; and 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Jones, and children Jessie Jones and Phyllis Jones.
