A funeral service was held Saturday at the McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Joe Hobbs, 27, of Ceres. He died Nov. 10, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Born June 28, 1978, Mr. Hobbs was a native of Oregon and lived in Ceres for 26 years. He was a student who enjoyed music, computers and writing poetry.
He leaves behind his wife, Vanessa Ortiz Hobbs of Ceres; his son, Mason Alexander Vega of Ceres; his parents, David Hobbs of Sonora, and James and Laura Bell of Modesto; his brother, James Richardson of Stockton; two sisters, Andrea Leavy of Riverbank and Jennifer Davis of Sonora; and grandparents, Betty Hobbs of Sonora and Reverend Jack Bullock of Modesto.
