Services were held Friday at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella for John Franklin Spears, 68, of Ceres. He died Jan. 6, 2008 at his home.

Eaton Family Funeral & Cremation Center was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Spears was born May 22, 1939.

He leaves behind two children, John Spears and Leslie Anne; and one grandson, Conner Spears.
