A memorial service was held Tuesday at Allen Mortuary in Turlock for John Ralph Humphrey, 57, of Ceres. He died Dec. 16, 2009 at his home.
Born May 20, 1952, John will be remembered by family and
friends for his enormous heart and sense of humor. He followed the Steelers and Cardinals, and enjoyed golfing with his friends. Mr. Humphrey was employed for over 25 years with VersaCold Logistics (formerly Merchants Refrigeration) in Modesto, where he started as a forklift-driver and worked his way up to foreman before he retired in 2008.
He leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Roberta Humphrey of Ceres; his father, Harry
Humphrey; his children, John Humphrey, Derek Yokley and Tony Hernandez, Debra Stone, Sara Ivey and Lisa Flores; two brothers, Ted Dobson and Dennis
Dobson; two sisters, Sharon Peterson and Kimberley Stowell; and nine grandchildren.
