A funeral service was held Saturday at Set Free Church in south Modesto for John Jay Wason, 46. He died May 2, 2012.
Born May 12, 1965 in Modesto to Jack and Jody Wason, John attended Ceres schools. He worked for Arnolds Cement for 23 years. Mr. Wason enjoyed camping, fishing, riding his Harley, and being near the ocean where he lived for the past few years.
He leaves behind his fiance, Renee Holland; two sons, Nick Wason and Todd Wason; his sisters, Tommi Blanusa and Wendi LeVea; and his brother, David Wason. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Remembrances are being accepted at the McHenry Avenue branch of F&M Bank under the name of "The Family of John Wason."
