A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Allen Mortuary in Turlock for Johnnie "Sis" Douglas, 67, of Ceres. She died May 4, 2009.
Born Feb. 19, 1942 in Oklahoma to Ioni and Leota Nester, Johnnie lived in Ceres for the past 18 years. She worked as a care provider for the last 20 years. Mrs. Douglas enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, going to Reno and watching football and bull riding. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her son.
She leaves behind her children Everett Douglas Jr. of Ceres, and Tommy Jackson and Andy Jackson both of Grand Ridge, Florida; her mother, Leota Nester; her brothers, Dallas Nester of Ceres, and Doug Nester and Thomas Nester, both of Modesto; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
